From the princess-inspired wedding dress of the bride to the gorgeous flowers, This elegant wedding is the kind of big-day dream made out of.
The story began by a note taken during a psychology class. In the note, Tyler asked Carolina if she’d like to go to an event with him the following night. When asked about Tyler, who was the “hot guy in class,” she of course was a yes. However, it wasn’t the only time Carolina provided him with that response.
After a relationship of nearly nine years Tyler was able to make his big announcement with more glitz. When the couple were traveling to Hawaii to celebrate his birthday, Tyler set up a romantic dinner on Oahu with roses, flowers scattered throughout the ground as well as palms, shady photographer as well as a saxophonist performing their hit song, “Can You Stand the Rain?,” which is a 90s-inspired ballad performed by R&B band New Edition.
Carolina who’s eyes were shut in anticipation while Tyler took her to the setup for the proposal she had a suspicion about what was going on immediately she heard the first notes. When she woke up she could see Tyler getting down in one knee. “I couldn’t help but cry tears of joy. This was the moment I had been waiting for and it was absolutely perfect,” Carolina says. Carolina.
A year after 9 September 2022 in the Larz Anderson House in Washington, D.C., they had the extravagant romantic wedding Carolina was dreaming about ever since she became a tiny girl. Tyler and Carolina got married “I do,” in front fifty of their most beloved loved ones, and an Cinderella-inspired celebration planned by the famous Pamela Barefoot Event and Design.
Parisian Elegance
The Cinderella-meets-Parisian elegance of Tyler and Carolina’s wedding started from the moment guests opened their invitations. The ivory-colored suite by Michelle Moji had an easy crest. Notes were embellished by using gold foil, raw edges. A gold wax seal was the perfect finish.
Fit for a Princess
Carolina’s dream of becoming a princess was realized by her stunning, sparkling wedding dress, designed by Ese Azenabor. Infatuated by Lilly Ghalichi’s wedding gown she became enthralled by the dress’s delicate crystals, pearls, and numerous layers of glittery fabric. She then adapted it to match her dream.
The final version of this dress is elegant. “I remember asking my mom and sisters if they thought it was ‘too much’ or ‘too extra,’ and I remember their responses were, ‘You are extra. This dress is you!’” she adds.
Ese Azenabor also created her veil, and chose the Swarovski crystal headpiece. In the dress, she donned the glitzy shoes from Kate Spade.
A Simple White Bouquet
As a kid, Carolina loved to dress in a nice outfit and choose flowers from the garden to make her bouquet. She fantasized about a white wedding. That’s exactly what she got. The bouquet contained white flowers with no greenery. The simple arrangement did not detract from her stunning gown.
