Tree During Their Golden Hour Wedding Ceremony

The couple chose their wedding venue in the wine country of California due to the connection to their relationship and the breathtaking scenery obviously.

Zoe Josh Lu and Josh Lu first met back in March 2017 in San Francisco, Calif. The two were on the verge of joining the company in which Josh was working. After completing her interviews they met out of office and the rest is history.

Just two years after, Josh asked Zoe to be his bride during the trip in the Martinelli Winery in Sonoma County. This venue already had a special place in their hearts as it was where they first met (and Zoe’s family have collected as well as loved Martinelli wine for a long time). Zoe said yes when Josh proposed to her at the home’s floral deck.

The couple started planning their wedding date for September 2020, however COVID-19’s spread forced the couple to move their wedding ahead. On July 6 2021, they gathered to celebrate their marriage with a little more than 80 family and friends in Black Swan Lake, a private estate located in Calistoga, Calif.

Once they walked around the lush greenery they knew it was it. “As we walked through, the willows swayed in the wind and butterflies fluttered by the central lake,” Zoe says. Zoe. They were enthralled by the timeless setting and the chance to entertain their guests in a peaceful setting. The couple worked closely with Mollie Jones Hennes as well as Sunna Yassin from Bash Please during their ever-changing timeline for their wedding to design the stunning and unique wedding they’d wanted for years.

Whimsical Watercolor Invitations

A custom-designed watercolor drawing of the garden at the venue designed by Studio Luzance and guests were given an insight into the dining area. The hand-crafted deckle-edge invitation set included traditional gold calligraphy and a contemporary sans-serif typeface. A honey silk ribbon binds the whole package and set the mood to the celebration of golden hours.

Welcome to Beautiful Napa Valley!

To express their gratitude to those who attended to be part of their wedding day, the couple gave everyone with a bottle wine directly from Napa Valley region.

Forever Awaits

Zoe as well as her bridal party wore matching floral gowns as they got prepared for their wedding.

Classic Elegance

There was never a doubt in Zoe’s head that she would wear an Monique Lhuillier wedding dress. She imagined an elegantly classic, but exquisitely detailed gown. She, in the end, designed an individual ensemble with the designer, which incorporated an lace gown with the bodice of a different. This resulted in a V-neck fitted-sleeved ball gown that was adorned in exquisite and delicate French Lace with a dramatic long train, traditional shape, keyhole back as well as pearl button.

Colors of Wine Country

Zoe’s lavish bouquet echoed the warm and gentle landscape of the wine country by incorporating white and pink flowers and greenery. The bridesmaids wore smaller and fragile versions of the bouquet.
